Lisa Liguori

Chairman & Owner

Lisa focuses her entrepreneurial expertise on helping brand stewards succeed. She has launched multiple startups and leverages that experience to find innovative ways for ChefsBest to support winning brands. Lisa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California, a master’s in information technology and a master’s in business administration from the University of San Diego. Her experience includes directing ventures across a wide range of industries, including roles as equity analyst at Gabelli Funds, marketing manager for National Pen Corporation, and CEO of the private equity group, Liguori Management.


Scott Thompson

Vice President of Operations

Scott holds over 20 years of experience in the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. In his role as vice president of operations for ChefsBest, he oversees all business functions including compliance, client services, and sensory analysis. He works closely with brands to ensure they maximize the impact of their Awards, which have helped numerous products increase revenue by double digits annually. He also recently earned his juris doctorate from the University of San Francisco.


Randi Coulthard


Randi has over 25 years of experience overseeing financial operations and reporting. He earned his master’s degree in Accounting from San Diego State University. He started his career with Arthur Andersen & Co. and obtained his CPA certification. He then worked in their Consulting Division which became Accenture. He was the Managing Director of the Accenture San Diego Solution
Center for about 6 years. He has been responsible for the financial reporting of ChefsBest and Liguori Management since 2013.


Janet Williams

Sensory Director

Janet holds over 25 years of experience directing strategic research projects for CPG brands. Since beginning her career in sensory evaluation for Wilson Foods and Miller Brewing Company, she has held roles in consumer insight at Del Monte Foods, Clorox and Tragon, a full-service market research company. Janet is proficient in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and developing strategic consumer insights based on statistical data. In addition to being able to create and design research based on client objectives, she holds expertise in advertising claims substantiation. Janet earned her master’s degree in food science and technology from University of California, Davis.


Chris Faridniya

Chief Business Development Officer

Chris has over a decade of experience in sales and marketing from a variety of industries and holds degrees in marketing and communications from CSU, Chico and a MBA from CSU, San Marcos. He is focused on building synergistic partnerships between ChefsBest and marketing professionals in the food and beverage industry. His passion for business development and high-quality food blends perfectly with the sales and marketing role he holds at ChefsBest. Chris works closely with his team to support all Authorized Licensees in strategically utilizing their awards and showing new brands the many benefits of leveraging a ChefsBest award in their marketing.

Justin Gonzales

Senior Marketing Associate

Justin has over five years of experience in digital marketing & advertising. With a Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications from Savannah College of Art & Design, Justin has his finger on the pulse of current digital marketing trends. His keen eye for detail and experience in design gives him a unique perspective when creating content to showcase and highlight our client’s products.
