World’s Greatest Stuffing

Thanksgiving is almost here, make sure your stuffing is on point with Rothbury Farms recipe for the World’s Greatest Stuffing!


  • 15-22 pound Turkey
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 pound pork sausage
  • 2 sticks (1 cup) butter, divided
  • 2 and 1/2 cups chopped celery
  • 2 cups chopped onion
  • 2 packages Rothbury Farms Croutons (any variety)
  • salt and pepper to taste


  1. Pull meat from neck, discard bones and coarsely chop neck meat and giblets
  2. In 2 quart saucepan, over high heat, bring turkey giblets, neck, and salted water to boiling
  3. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 1 hour, or until meat is tender
  4. Drain reserving broth
  5. Saute onion and celery in 1 stick of butter and cook until tender, stirring occasionally
  6. Add Sausage and cook until browned
  7. Drain off some of the fat and add another stick of butter, melting over low heat
  8. In large bowl place 2 packages of croutons
  9. Add chopped neck meat and giblets
  10. Stir in vegetables and sausage mixture
  11. Add 2-2 and 1/2 cups turkey stock, stirring to make certain all croutons are moistened
  12. Season, if desired, with salt and pepper
  13. Stuff prepared turkey cavity. Extra stuffing can be baked in covered dish at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 40 minutes
